Acquired GRA Property: The lies of Lagos State Govt against Funmi Tejuoso

Contrary to the lies being peddled by the Lagos State government over the brazen and forceful attempt to take over a property duly owned by a lawmaker in the State, Funmi Tejuoso claiming that it was a quarter reserved for Deputy Speakers in the State, investigation by newsclickng.com reveals such claim to be a hoax

Digs indicate that the two previous Deputy Speakers before Hon Funmilayo Tejuoso were; Farouk Oshodi and Toun Adediran whilst the two after Tejuoso were; Bola Badmus and Kolawole Taiwo.

None of them ever lived in the premises No. 3A, Sasegbon Street. Rather it was a former Permanent Secretary for Budget, one Mrs. Dawodu that handed the place over to Tejuoso.

A very reliable source who confided in newsclickng.com disclosed that “it was only a colonial building with wooden deck that was there then. The couple, Honourable Funmilayo Tejuoso and her husband, Kayode Tejuoso, built what is there presently.

Last Friday, detachment of policemen acting on the orders of the state Governor had stormed the property and held occupants hostage for hours without warrant.

Only to return again this morning to disconnect public power to the place and tear gassed residents in the absence of the lawmaker who is currently on official assignment to the United State of America.

One of the residents holed up in the building who spoke with NewsClickng.com via telephone said the rampaging policemen have started destroying some fittings just to evict us forcefully.

“Right now, they have fraudulently put a signpost in front of the house calling it Deputy Speaker’s Residence.
Whereas no other deputy speaker had ever lived in the house before, it was her residence sold to her by the previous government under the monetization programme,”he volunteered,

The property is currently a subject of litigation before a Lagos Nigh Court between Hon. Tejuoso and Lagos State government.
