Anambra Assembly Majority Leader, Nnamdi Okafor slumps, dies during legislative retreat in South Africa
The Majority Leader of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Nnamdi Okafor, has reportedly died.
Okafor, popularly called ‘Akajiugo Awka’, represented the Awka South Constituency 1 in the state Assembly.
Not much is known about the circumstances surrounding his death as at this point, but unconfirmed reports said that the lawmaker slumped and died in the early hours of Wednesday in a Hotel in Sandton City, Johannesburg, South Africa, and was confirmed dead hours later.
The deceased and other state lawmakers were said to have gone for a legislative retreat.
