The All Progressives Congress (APC) has fixed Tuesday, 24 March, for the screening of aspirants vying for national positions ahead of its National Convention scheduled for 27 March.
The party stated that the screening exercise will be held at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja.
In a notice released on Sunday, the Secretary of the Aspirants’ Screening Committee, Alhaji Isa Yuguda, explained that only those who have purchased and submitted their Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms will be eligible for screening.
Yuguda, a former Governor of Bauchi State, added that all aspirants must appear in person and present all necessary supporting documents for verification.
He further advised candidates to arrive early to facilitate a smooth and timely process.
The APC had earlier, in December 2025, unveiled a comprehensive timetable for its 2025/2026 nationwide ward, local government, state, and zonal congresses, leading up to the national convention.
According to the schedule, the process commenced with membership e-registration on 1 December 2025 and concluded on 30 January 2026.
The exercise has since advanced through several stages, including the issuance of notices for congresses, the sale and submission of forms for various positions, and the screening of aspirants at different levels.
Ward, local government, state, and zonal congresses have also been conducted, alongside the resolution of appeals arising from each phase.
These activities are set to culminate in the party’s national convention, scheduled to take place from 25 to 28 March 2026.
