Ayade lauds NAF’s operations in North East
Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River State has commended the Chief of Air Staff, CAS, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, for carrying out air strikes against the Boko Haram sect in the North East.
Ayade made the commendation on Wednesday, in Calabar when the CAS paid him a visit at Government House, Calabar.
He said the Nigerian Air Force has contributed largely through its air strikes in reducing the activities of the Boko Haram sect to the barest minimum.
According to him, the professional discipline instilled into the NAF personnel by the CAS has helped in repositioning the force into a model one.
“We are happy to have you in our state today as part of your operational visit to the 305 Special Mobility Group in Calabar. We are happy that you are doing a great job. The professional air strike operations of the NAF has reduced the activities of the Boko Haram sect to the barest minimum. Today, we now have a responsive, smart and professional NAF.
“I want to also use this medium to appeal to you to deploy one helicopter to Cross River State to help us in our inter-state conflict. As we speak, our people are usually attacked by Cameroonian gendarmes and we need an air force operational squad to police all these troubled spots in the state.”
