A former governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Tambuwal, has stepped down from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
In a letter dated March 11 and addressed to his ward chairman in Tambuwal/Shinfiri, the senator representing Sokoto South in the senate explained that his decision was due to the “persistent internal crisis” and “ongoing conflicts” within the PDP.
He also disclosed that he would now align with the newly registered African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Tambuwal said the move “followed deep reflection” and “extensive consultations”.
