Former federal lawmaker leaves PDP for APC in Ebonyi

A chieftain of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and former federal lawmaker who once represented Ezza North/Ishielu Federal Constituency, Peter Ede, has formally returned to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ebonyi State.

The gathering occurred at the state party secretariat in Abakaliki, the capital of Ebonyi State, on Wednesday, where a considerable number of his supporters also officially joined the APC.

The former legislator pledged his commitment to contributing to the creation of a more conducive environment for the state’s development.

Ede explained that he opted to join the APC due to the party’s people-centric policies.

Welcoming the new members to his office, the state party chairman, Stanley Okoro-Emegha, expressed delight and eagerness to collaborate with them, describing their decisions as a positive development.

He assured them of fair treatment, emphasizing the party’s willingness to embrace individuals with genuine intentions. He underscored the administration’s dedication to re-strategizing to position the state as a paragon of excellence.
