Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, on Thursday vowed that justice would be served for the teenager killed by a soldier in the Samaru area of Zaria, Kaduna State.
The teenager, Ismail Mohammed, was fatally shot on Tuesday when Nigerian Army troops attempted to disperse hoodlums during a nationwide protest in Samaru.
Governor Sani, speaking through his Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, who led a high-level delegation of top government officials and security agency heads to offer condolences to the family, expressed deep sorrow over the tragic incident. He assured the family that no effort would be spared in ensuring justice is served.
The governor promised a full and thorough investigation to hold those responsible accountable.
He also prayed for God to comfort the bereaved family and grant the deceased eternal rest.
