Group purchases APC presidential forms for senate president Lawan

For Senate President Ahmad Lawan, the All Progressives Congress presidential nomination and expression of interest forms have been purchased.

On Monday, a group known as the national stability project purchased and delivered the forms to the Senate President.

He joins a growing list of APC members who have purchased the N100m forms.

The Senate President has not publicly signalled his intention to run for President.

Numerous Nigerians have scrutinised the N100 million cost of the APC’s presidential nomination forms.

However, the relatively high price has not hindered sales, as supporters continue to purchase forms for their preferred candidates.

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo is one of the prominent candidates who have purchased nomination papers.

Others include APC Chieftain Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Transportation Minister Rotimi Amaechi, and Central Bank of Nigeria Governor Godwin Emefiele.

Abdullahi Adamu, national chairman of the APC, stated that the revenue generated from the sale of forms will assist the party in conducting an effective campaign once a candidate has been selected.
