The leading gubernatorial hopeful in Osun under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), ‘Kunle Rasheed Adegoke (K-Rad) has given hope of an assured future to the civil servants in the State under his stewardship as he felicitates with them on 2018 workers’ day celebrations.
This was contained in a statement issued by K-Rad Media Office and made available to newsmen in Osogbo on Tuesday.
“I congratulate the workers across the globe in general and the Nigerian workers in particular on this occasion of the May Day celebration. Most importantly, my heart rests with the workers in my dear state, Osun.”
“While I empathise with the government of the State of Osun as she works towards meeting her obligations to the labour force, I solidarise with the State workers and commend their endurance and sacrificial cooperation with the state government in this economically biting time.
“I am confident to inform that the current sacrifices by the workers shall not last in vain. The reward of their labour shall begin from this world.
Continuing, the Osogbo-born politician said: “As I aspire to take the mantle of leadership of the State come November 27 this year, workers’ welfare already occupies a prime of place in our robust blueprint which is christened “Assured Future”.
Echoing his proletariat credentials, Mr. Adegoke opined that : “As a person, my partnership with the Nigerian working class is age-long. Being a long- standing students’ leader of Marxist-Leninist orientation and a labour law expert, my tent has always been pitched on the side of the workers’ body in all of its agitations, both under the military and the civil rules.”
“And I confidently promise that the workers’ unions in Osun will find a member-friend in me, ‘Kunle Rasheed Adegoke (K-Rad)., he assured.
