Jonathan invites Buhari, Obasanjo, IBB, nine sitting presidents, others to book launch

President Muhammadu Buhari has been announced as the Special guest of honour at the historic launch of ex-president Goodluck Jonathan’s book “Transition Hours”.

The launch is expected to hold on Tuesday, November 20, 2018, at the Transcorp Hilton, Abuja.

Chief Olusegun Obasanjo will be the occasion’s chairman, General TY Danjuma will be the chief book presenter, while Justice Salihu Alfa-Belgore will review the book.

The royal father of the day will be the Obi of Onitsha, Chief Alfred Nnaemeka Achebe and the chief host is the governor of Bayelsa state, Dr Seriake Dickson.

Other personalities specially invited to grace the occasion as Guest of Honors are, President Dramani Mahama, former Ghana President, General Yakubu Gowon, General Badamasi Babangida, General Abdulsalami Abubakar, Alhaji Abubakar Atiku, and Alhaji Namadi Sambo.

Other African heads of states expected are Presidents of Guinea, Togo, Kenya, Zimbabwe, Senegal, Gambia, Niger, Mali, Ivory Coast and the president of the African Development Bank, ADFB Akinwunmi Adesina.

A sample of the invitation letter signed by the Chairman of the Book Presentation Committee, Bashir Yuguda, said the book “gives some insight into the 2015 presidential election and also a reflection on some key decisions by His Excellency, the former President while in Office.”
