Lagos leads as INEC registers over 93 million voters for 2023 polls
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) reported that 93, 469, 008 voters have been registered for the 2023 elections.
Men make up 52.5 percent of the total, while women make up 47.5 percent, according to a breakdown.
This was included in the final voter registration list that the electoral body distributed to political parties on Wednesday at its Abuja headquarters.
Kano is second on the list after Lagos with 5,921,370 registered voters.
Earlier, the political parties specifically hailed the deployment of the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) and the INEC Result Viewing (IReV) Portal in the recently concluded elections in the country and for next year’s general election.
