Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has dismissed his Special Assistant on Forestry (Central Senatorial District), Adeboye Taofiq Ewenla, effective immediately.

The dismissal was announced in a statement on Wednesday by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Ebenezer Adeniyan.

The move followed allegations of bribery and intimidation brought against Ewenla by timber merchants in the state.

Governor Aiyedatiwa has also ordered an investigation into the activities of officials managing the state’s forest reserves.

A replacement for Ewenla will be announced soon. The Governor reminded all political appointees to adhere strictly to the law and the regulations governing their duties.
