The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has inaugurated its newly acquired national secretariat in Abuja as the party steps up preparations for the 2027 general elections.
The facility, located in the Jabi area of the Federal Capital Territory, was unveiled on Monday following an emergency meeting of the party’s National Executive Committee.

The ceremony was attended by the NDC National Chairman, Senator Moses Cleopas; the party’s National Leader, Senator Seriake Dickson; Senator Victor Umeh, who represents Anambra Central in the National Assembly; and the party’s Rivers State governorship candidate, Dumo Lulu-Briggs, alongside other party leaders and members.
The newly acquired building is also expected to serve as the party’s presidential campaign headquarters as it prepares for the 2027 polls.
The development marks another step in the NDC’s efforts to strengthen its organisational structure and establish a central base for coordinating its political activities nationwide.

The party has positioned itself as a platform for opposition forces seeking an alternative to the ruling All Progressives Congress. The new facility is expected to support its national operations and presidential campaign.
Congratulating party members and supporters on the development, Dickson described the secretariat as a unifying base for the party.

He said the “newly acquired Noah’s Ark will be a befitting home for all.”
