Ganduje presents staffs of office to four new emirs

Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano State, on Monday, presented  Staff of Office to the four newly appointed first class emirs in Kano.

The first to be presented with the staff of office was Emir Aminu Ado Bayero, one of the sons of the late Ado Bayero, who is the newly appointed Emir of Bichi Emirate Council.

Other new emirs who also received their staff of office include Emir of Karaye Emirate Council, Alhaji Dr Ibrahim Abubakar II, Emir of Rano, Alhaji Tafida Abubakar Ila and the Emir of Gaya, Alhaji Ibrahim Abdulkadir.

Shortly after the presentations, Ganduje congratulated them on being appointed as leaders of their people, urging them to always abide by what the Staff of Office symbolically represents.

According to Ganduje, the Staff of Office represents dedication and commitment to serve their subjects in the areas of security, health care delivery system, as well as education and environment, among others.

The governor charged them to always be ready to see their people as their major concern.
