Mimiko Senate bid: “We will give you 100 percent of our votes” Seriki Hausa Community Ondo

The Seriki Hausa Community in Ondo City, Ondo State, Alhaji Abdulsalami Yusuf, has promised that the entire Hausa Community in Ondo will give maximum support to the former Governor of Ondo state and candidate of the Zenith Labour Party for Ondo Central Senatorial District in the 2019 elections, Dr Olusegun Mimiko.

Yusuf made the pledge while the Hausa community was hosting Mimiko in Ondo City on Wednesday.

According to him; “Mimiko has performed excellently in almost every sector and we are beneficiaries of those novel and impactful initiatives”

The Seriki said it is on record that Mimiko ran an inclusive government that accommodated all the ethnic nationalities in Ondo state.

“The Hausa Community, Ebira, Igbo and all others enjoyed his good works and were given the special recognition by appointing people from these communities as Special Assistants to ensure seamless relationship between the government and non-indigenes” he said.

Yusuf also enumerated a few of Mimiko’s acheivements that he said benefited everyone irrespective of ethnic, religious and political affiliations.

“My daughter had her baby at one of the Mother and Child Hospitals, successfully and free of charge. I can continue to mention the trauma centre which is the first of its kind around here, the dome in Akure, mechanic village, the modern abattoir among others. We will give you 100 percent of votes from the Hausa community” said Yusuf.

He captured, in his speech, the relationship between the incumbent House of Representatives member for Ondo East/West, Joseph Akinlaja, and the community as one that has been fruitful.

In his reaction, Mimiko appreciated him for his exemplary leadership and the community, for maintaining peace all through the years.

“I am happy with the relationship between the Hausa community and Ondo residents, Christians and Muslims. The peaceful coexistence has become a benchmark for other states and cities across Nigeria. As Governor, we created a system that worked for all so that peace can continue to reign in our towns and cities” he said.

He took his time to interact with them by enumerating his Manifestoes for Nigerians and the people of Ondo Central Senatorial District, if elected Senator. He said a single law that affect million of lives positively especially in the area of human capital development.
