2026 World Cup: Nigeria gets schedule for Lesotho, Zimbabwe qualifiers

The Super Eagles will begin their journey in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers by going up against Lesotho’s Crocodiles on November 17.

The game is set to be held at Uyo’s Godswill Akpabio International Stadium.

Following that, the three-time African champions will meet Zimbabwe’s Warriors just three days later, on November 20, at Kigali’s Amahoro Stadium.

The matchday details were disclosed via the Super Eagles‘ social media account on X (formerly Twitter).

The group also includes South Africa, Rwanda, and the Benin Republic, which is under the management of former Super Eagles head coach, Gernot Rohr.

The team that secures the top position in the group will secure an automatic berth in the 2026 World Cup, which will be hosted in the USA, Canada, and Mexico.

The Super Eagles missed out on qualification for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, suffering defeat to long-standing rivals Ghana in the playoff round.
