Bursaspor SK Signs Shehu Abdullahi

Super Eagles defender, Shehu Abdullahi is now officially signed to Turkish club Bursaspor SK on a two-year contract. Nigerian Super Eagles’ players; Mikel Agu and William Troost-Ekong are also signed to the club.

The club revealed on its twitter handle that the Nigerian star has successfully undergone his medical checks before penning his deal. The tweet read:  “Shehu’s point by point blood tests are made; orthopedics, eye, ear, nose and throat, general surgery and cardiology”.

Abdullahi was formerly signed to Cypriot club, Anorthosis Famagusta FC.

24 year old Abdullahi said he joined Bursaspor SK to make progress, he said:
“I came here to help the team. I hope we can achieve great results, I came here to help wedge on the way to Europe and even to be in the Champions League.

“I am very happy to be here. I also want to use this opportunity to thank the band. They tried to reach social media many times. I hope it will be successful here, and at the end of the season, we celebrate it as a family here.

“Of course this will give the decision to the manager. I’m ready to play wherever I am assigned to play. I heard Paul Le Guen’s name when the Nigerian national team tried to employ him.

“I feel very lucky as a player because I think it will involve something in my career. Of course, what the Hossain wants is important. I like to support the attack. Hodja, except if I don’t have the opportunity to support the attack”
