60-year-old Femi Simpson wins silver at National Sports Festival

Sixty-year-old scrabble player Femi Simpson has won silver for Lagos State in scrabble team sport in the ongoing 2022 National Sports Festival at Asaba.

The Lagos-based scrabble player was full of excitement for the feat.

The captain of the Scrabble team Olatunde Oduboru said: “Being the captain of the team, it’s a thing of joy for me to see everyone going home with medals.”

“I thank the other members of my team for the unison they’ve carried out; the team spirit for them to have won medals in all categories.’

Team Lagos has seven medals in the scrabble event consisting of 3 gold,2 silver and 2 bronze medals.
