AC Milan introduce NBA-style courtside seating experience

AC Milan aims to emulate the “NBA experience” by introducing innovative seating arrangements between the dugouts at the San Siro stadium.

The Italian club highlights that the newly installed seats offer an unparalleled view of the pitch, drawing inspiration from the courtside seats often seen at basketball games. Additional amenities include padded seating and personalized concierge service.

Fans were treated to the inaugural experience during Thursday’s 1-0 Europa League victory over Roma. Notable figures such as Italian rappers Ghali and Blanco were among the first guests, echoing the trend in the NBA where celebrities frequently occupy premium seating.

Similar premium experiences are offered by other clubs, such as Manchester City’s ‘Tunnel Club’ at the Etihad Stadium, where fans enjoy hospitality while players pass through a glass tunnel en route to the pitch.

However, those interested in this unique perspective should act swiftly, as AC Milan’s tenure at the San Siro— their home since 1926— may be drawing to a close.

The Serie A club has unveiled plans to depart from the iconic venue and construct a 70,000-seat stadium in the southern part of the city. Concurrently, joint tenants and city rivals Inter Milan are contemplating the construction of their own stadium elsewhere.
