Italian journalist, Fabrizio Romano, AC Milan, a prominent club in Serie A, is currently in the process of finalizing a deal to acquire Nigerian international Samuel Chukwueze from Villarreal before the conclusion of the summer transfer window.

Romano also revealed that Milan is working on the signing of Christian Pulisic from Chelsea, which appears to be progressing positively.

“€22m second bid submitted and talks progressing to final stages. Milan keep working on Samuel Chukwueze deal too.”

It appears that Samuel Chukwueze is making progress towards completing a summer transfer to AC Milan, as he has reportedly agreed to personal terms with the Italian club.

Milan’s head coach, Stefano Pioli, personally contacted Chukwueze to persuade him to join the Serie A side. According to reports from Sky Italy and La Gazzetta dello Sport, Chukwueze has emerged as the favored candidate to become Milan’s new right winger for the upcoming season.

The expected transfer fee for Chukwueze is estimated to be between €25 million and €30 million.

Since Chukwueze has only one year remaining on his contract with Villarreal, it is likely that the Spanish club would be interested in selling him. Positive discussions and personal agreements have reportedly taken place between Chukwueze and Milan, as per Gazzette Dello Sport.

Chukwueze had a remarkable season for Villarreal, recording his highest goal and assist tally. He scored 13 goals and provided 11 assists in 51 matches, contributing to Villarreal’s fifth-place finish in the league and securing qualification for the UEFA Europa League next season.
