AC Milan sign Spain striker Morata from Atletico Madrid

AC Milan have signed Spain forward Álvaro Morata from Atlético Madrid on a four-year contract, with an option for an additional year.

The Serie A club activated Morata’s release clause, reportedly around £11 million, to secure his transfer.

The 31-year-old recently captained Spain to victory in Euro 2024.

Morata began his professional career with Real Madrid and has also played for Juventus and Chelsea.

He won the Champions League twice during his two stints at Real Madrid and secured the Italian title twice with Juventus. Additionally, Morata won the FA Cup with Chelsea and has scored 36 goals in 80 appearances for Spain.
