Six teams have been knocked out of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco.
The eliminated sides are Botswana, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Zimbabwe, Zambia, and Comoros.
Botswana were the first to exit the tournament after suffering defeats in their opening two matches. Equatorial Guinea and Gabon also crashed out after losing their first two group games.
Zambia’s AFCON campaign came to an end on Monday night following a 3-0 loss to host nation Morocco.
Comoros became the first third-placed team to be eliminated, finishing the group stage behind four of the other five teams occupying third position.
Meanwhile, six countries have already booked their places in the Round of 16. They are Algeria, Mali, Morocco, Nigeria, South Africa, and Egypt.
