AFCON 2025: Super Eagles camp grows to 15 as Iwobi, Bassey, Onyeka arrive

The Super Eagles camp ahead of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations has now grown to 15 players with the arrival of Fulham teammates Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey, alongside Brentford midfielder Frank Onyeka.

The trio’s arrival was confirmed by the Super Eagles’ media officer, Promise Efoghe.

Also reporting to camp on Monday were FC Porto left-back Zaidu Sanusi and Trabzonspor forward Paul Onuachu.

They join earlier arrivals Ademola Lookman, Bright Osayi-Samuel, Stanley Nwabali, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru and Francis Uzoho, who are already undergoing preparations.

Bassey comes into camp on the back of an impressive weekend, having scored for Fulham in their 3-2 Premier League victory over Burnley on Saturday.
