The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has appointed Fidelis Ilechukwu, head coach of Rangers, as one of the assistant coaches to Super Eagles caretaker manager Augustine Eguavoen.
Ilechukwu’s appointment was announced by the NFF on Monday.
He led Rangers to their eighth Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) title last season and has previous experience as an assistant coach at the U-23 level.
Daniel Ogunmodede, the head coach of Remo Stars, will also join Eguavoen’s staff as an assistant.
Eguavoen will oversee the Super Eagles for the upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Benin Republic and Rwanda.
