Tanzania will play the second match against Zambia at the ongoing African Cup of Nations, AFCON, in Cote D’Ivoire without their coach, Adel Amrouche.

Amrouche received an eight-match ban and a $10,000 fine from CAF following his outburst and accusing the Moroccan FA of influencing African football.

Taifa Stars’ manager accused Moroccan FA after his team lost to 0-3 to Atlas Lions on Wednesday.

The disciplinary action was announced on Thursday by CAF’s Disciplinary Committee following complaints filed by the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (RMFF).

The RMFF accused Amrouche of stating that Morocco has influence within CAF in arranging matches and decisions.

Following the match ban and fine, Tanzania has fired the Amrouche in a statement by the Tanzania Football Federation on Friday.

TFF appointed Hemed Morocco as an interim coach in his stead.
