African Games: Ghana’s Black Princesses defeat Nigeria 2-1 to win gold

The Black Princesses of Ghana clinched the title of champions in the women’s football tournament at the 13th African Games being held in Accra.

After 120 minutes of football, the Black Princesses secured a 2-1 victory over the Falconets.

Loveth Edeh initially gave the Falconets the lead in the 21st minute. However, with just 12 minutes remaining, Ghana equalized thanks to Tracy Twum.

In the 99th minute of extra time, Mukarama Abdullai sealed the win with a low shot from the edge of the box, beating the Falconets’ goalkeeper.

The defeat signifies the Falconets surrendering their title as African Games champions.
