AfroBasket: Ebonyi gov gifts D’Tigress star Ejiofor N30m, apartment

Ebonyi State Governor, Francis Nwifuru, has gifted ₦30 million to D’Tigress star Munachi Ejiofor in recognition of her contribution to the team’s triumph at the 2025 Women’s AfroBasket.

In addition to the cash reward, Ejiofor received a duplex in Abakaliki and was also inducted into the Ebonyi State Hall of Fame.

D’Tigress won a fifth consecutive Women’s AfroBasket title in Cote d’Ivoire earlier this month.

Rena Wakama’s side were also honoured by President Bola Tinubu.

Each player got $100,000, an apartment, and a national honour.
