As the countdown to the World Athletics Awards 2022 continues, the names of the five finalists for Women’s World Athlete of the Year have been announced.
A record 1.3 million votes were cast online and through emails using World Athletics’ social media platforms, the organization said.
The World Athletes of the Year 2022 finalists were chosen through a three-way voting process that ended on October 31. The winner will be revealed on World Athletics’ social media channels in early December.
