Real Betis have signed Manchester United winger Antony on loan until the end of the season, following a disappointing spell at Old Trafford.
The 24-year-old Brazilian became United’s second most expensive signing when he joined from Ajax in 2022 for £81.3 million.
“Real Betis and Manchester United have reached a deal for a loan of Antony for the current season,” the Spanish club announced.
Antony scored 12 goals in 92 appearances for United, who sit 13th in the Premier League, and remains under contract at the club until 2027.
Despite a promising start, scoring in his first three matches under Erik ten Hag, Antony struggled for form and favour. Off-field allegations of domestic abuse, which he denied and were resolved without charges in 2024, also impacted his performances.
Antony has yet to start a Premier League match this season, making only eight substitute appearances, with new manager Ruben Amorim favouring young talent Amad Diallo on the right wing.
The Brazilian now looks to revitalise his career with Betis, who are mid-table in La Liga and competing in the UEFA Conference League.
