Atletico Madrid Loanee, Samu Omorodion chooses Spain over Nigeria
Atletico Madrid’s forward, Samuel Omorodion, is determined to declare his loyalty to Spain.
The 19-year-old, currently on loan at Alaves, was born in Spain to Nigerian parents, rendering him eligible for potential representation in both nations.
Despite being eligible to represent two nations, Omorodion has declared his intention to play for the former European champions.
While expressing gratitude for the opportunities provided by Spain, he underscored his dedication to making his senior debut with the national team and developing his career in the country.
“Spain has given me the opportunity and I am very grateful for it. I don’t think about Nigeria. My goal is to debut with the senior side and have my career in Spain.”
Omorodion has demonstrated his skills by featuring for Spain at the U-19 and U-21 levels.
Although Nigeria currently possesses a formidable roster of forwards, there might not be an immediate pursuit of his services. However, the possibility for future considerations is still open.
