Bayern Munich edges closer to Bundesliga title with comeback win over Stuttgart
Bayern Munich took a significant step toward securing the Bundesliga title, rallying from a goal down to claim a vital victory against Stuttgart.
The hosts struck first after Bayern’s Leroy Sane slipped, allowing former Bayern youth player Angelo Stiller to fire a superb finish into the top corner.
Sane redeemed himself just before halftime by setting up Michael Olise for the equalizer, sending him through on goal to slot home confidently.
Midway through the second half, Leon Goretzka capitalized on high pressing, winning possession and firing past goalkeeper Alexander Nubel to give Bayern the lead. Kingsley Coman sealed the win in stoppage time with a clinical strike.
The victory extends Bayern’s lead at the top of the table to 11 points ahead of Bayer Leverkusen, who face Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday.
