‘Being the Saudi League’s All-Time top scorer is a great achievement’ – Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo scored in the fourth round of the Saudi League as Al-Nassr secured a 2-1 home victory over Al-Taawoun to maintain their perfect start to the season.

After the match, Ronaldo spoke about the team’s performance, his impressive goalscoring record and the role of his teammates and supporters.

Interviewer: Congratulations on collecting 12 points from your opening four games and remaining at the top of the table. How would you assess the team’s performances so far, particularly in this match?

“One step at a time. We didn’t perform very well at the beginning of the match, but we scored, we equalized, and we played great in the second half. We made a very good response; the team played better and faster, we created a lot of chances, and we deserved this victory.”

Interviewer: You often say individual statistics are not your main focus, but today’s figures are impressive. You are now the Saudi League’s top scorer and all-time leading scorer, with 104 goals in just 110 appearances. How significant is that achievement?

“I am very happy; this is a great achievement. But it’s not just my effort. I must express my heartfelt thanks to my teammates, because without them, none of this would be possible. At the same time, I am also really happy for the fans, who have supported me from beginning to end, and I am incredibly proud of that.”
