CAF projects $75 million in revenue for AFCON 2023

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) generated approximately $75 million in revenue from the recently concluded African Nations Cup, which was hosted by Cote D’Ivoire.

According to GlobalData, a market research firm based in London, it is estimated that CAF will generate around $75 million in sponsorship revenue from the ongoing AFCON.

The tournament boasted 17 commercial partners, among them TotalEnergies as the title sponsor, alongside 1xBet, Orange, and Unilever.

In the fiscal year 2021-2022, CAF recorded an overall revenue of $103.6 million. Sponsorship funds from competitions played a significant role in this, contributing a commendable cumulative revenue of $79.8 million.

This represented a notable increase of $3.6 million compared to the sponsorship funds from the previous year.
