CHAN 2024: Sudan unveil final squad ahead of clash with Home Eagles

Sudan head coach Kwesi Appiah has released a 25-man squad for the upcoming 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN), with a lineup that blends experience and current form.

The squad features 13 players from domestic champions Al-Hilal Khartoum, while Al-Merriekh Khartoum also contributes significantly, including standout names like goalkeeper Ahmed Al-Fateh and midfielder Mohamed Al-Rasheed. Players from Hay Al-Wadi Nyala and Al-Amal Atbara complete the roster, each with one representative.

The team will depart for Zanzibar on July 30 for their final training camp ahead of the tournament. Sudan has been placed in Group D alongside defending champions Senegal, Nigeria, and Congo.

They will begin their group stage campaign against Congo, followed by a clash with Nigeria, and conclude with a tough tie against Senegal.
