Chelsea receive strong warning on Nicolas Jackson as advisor criticizes major transfer U-turn

An advisor to Chelsea forward Nicolas Jackson has spoken out strongly after his proposed loan move to Bayern Munich was canceled at the last minute.

After the arrivals of Joao Pedro and Liam Delap, Jackson was listed as available for transfer, attracting significant Premier League interest. Bayern Munich seemed to have secured his signature with a loan deal for the 2025/26 season agreed earlier in the week.

With Cole Palmer ruled out through injury, Chelsea would have wanted to desperately avoid other key players picking up issues but that was unfortunately exactly the scenario that played out early into their 2-0 win over Fulham.

After breaking past the defense, Delap pulled up holding his hamstring and was quickly substituted for Tyrique George. Maresca’s post-match update offered little encouragement, as the Chelsea manager outlined a tentative timeline for his recovery.

“Liam’s injury doesn’t look good in terms of, he was full speed, hamstring, so that required, like always, weeks,” he admitted in his post-match press conference.

In the wake of Delap’s injury, Jackson’s immediate future came into doubt, but clarity soon followed. According to football.london, almost as soon as he landed in Germany, Chelsea notified Bayern that the loan deal would no longer go ahead.
