Cristiano Ronaldo has become the first person to reach 400 million followers on Instagram!
He attained the feat a day after he marked his 37th birthday.
He had 399 million followers on 5 February when he celebrated.
It means more and more people are following the football megastar, who now plays, for the second time for Manchester United.
Ronaldo’s rival Leo Messi has 306 million followers on Instagram, the same with cosmetic mogul, Kylie Jenner.
Jenner is ranked second to Ronaldo and Messi third.
Singer Selena Gomez holds the 4th record with 295 million followers.
Instagram as an institution leads with 469 million followers.
Ronaldo also holds the Facebook record as the most followed with 150,792,320 fans as at 6 February 2022.
Remarkably, as at June 2021, Ronaldo had 122 million followers, meaning he attracted about 30 million new fans in less than eight months.
