D’Tigress coach Hughley Otis Jr. has called on his team to remain focused and hold their nerves as they take on the USA at the 2018 FIBA Women’s World Cup.

Nigeria endured a nervy game with Greece on Wednesday to run out 57-56 winners and set up a quarter-final clash with the US on Friday.

With the win giving them a tie against the highly-fancied Americans who are defending champions and have won it 9 times in the 17 editions, Otis expects the D’Tigress to make a statement on Friday.

According to him, even though his team has caught global attention, with many writing them off against the US, his girls must show they can spring up a surprise.

In addition, he lauded his team for their dedication in the victory against Greece in the quarter-final qualification match.
