Nigeria’s Super Eagles are still 49th in the world in the latest ranking released by global football ruling body Fifa on Monday.
The development means the three-time African champions are now 6th on the continent behind Tunisia, Senegal, Ghana, Morocco, and Cameroon.
And on the global scene, the 2018 World Cup winners France are still top of the global ranking.
They are closely followed by Belgium and Brazil following in second and the third positions respectively.
Nigeria who beat Seychelles 3-0 in a 2019 African Nations Cup qualifier earlier this month, will take on Libya in another qualification game for the competition on October 10.
