EFL Cup: Fernandez’s goal helps Chelsea beat Wimbledon 2-1


Enzo Fernandez scored the winning goal as Chelsea came from behind to beat AFC Wimbledon 2-1 in the EFL Cup second round on Wednesday night.

The English League Two side took a surprise lead against Chelsea thanks to a penalty from James Tilley in the 19th minute. However, Chelsea came back to win the match 2-1 thanks to goals from Kai Havertz and Timo Werner in 46th and 72nd minutes.

Noni Madueke’s penalty leveled the score, and Enzo Fernandez’s late goal sent Chelsea through to the next round.
