#EndBadGovernance: Protests resume in Port Harcourt Monday – Organisers

Organizers of the ‘End Hunger’ protest in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, have announced plans to gather at the Federal Secretariat along Aba Road on Monday to continue their demonstration.

This information was confirmed in a meeting flyer obtained by our correspondent on Monday.

The protests persisted into Sunday, although the turnout was noticeably smaller compared to the first three days.

Protesters were seen partially blocking a section of the Aba Road flyover with a bathtub, chanting and singing. Unlike previous days, there were no DJs or musical instruments present.

Some protesters expressed that President Bola Tinubu’s speech did not address their concerns, and they are determined to continue the protest for the full 10 days as originally planned.

On Sunday, there was a significant presence of security operatives, but interactions between the police and protesters remained cordial, with no confrontations reported.
