The player underwent surgery to repair a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his right knee, which he sustained in the game against Nottingham Forest.

It was is a setback for the Gunners, who paid Ajax €40 million (£34.3m) plus €5m in add-ons to land Timber’s services last month.
