Everton holds Arsenal to goalless draw

Arsenal were frustrated in a goalless draw against Everton in the Premier League at the Emirates Stadium.

Despite dominating possession with 75% and registering 13 shots, the hosts couldn’t break down an Everton side that defended resolutely, with the visitors managing just one shot throughout the match.

That solitary effort came in the sixth minute, arguably the best chance of the game, when Abdoulaye Doucoure was played through on goal. However, the Everton midfielder took too long, and his angled shot was blocked by Gabriel.

Arsenal controlled the ball for most of the game but struggled to create clear-cut opportunities. Captain Martin Odegaard saw a shot dragged wide and another deflected effort blocked by Jordan Pickford.

Pickford then made a superb reflex save to deny Bukayo Saka at the start of the second half. Despite their best efforts, Arsenal were unable to find a winning goal.
