Everton set to relocate to new stadium for commencement of 2025-26 season

The relocation of Everton to a new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock has been postponed to the beginning of the 2025-26 season.

Originally, the Toffees intended to make the move in the 2024-25 campaign, but the final full season at Goodison Park will now be during that period.

The choice to refrain from relocating mid-season was influenced by commercial and logistical considerations, as well as feedback from supporters.

The Merseyside club has affirmed that the 52,888-capacity stadium is still on track for completion by the end of 2024.

“Firstly, and to be absolutely clear, our decision to not move in mid-season is not because of a construction delay,” said interim chief executive Colin Chong.

“It is a club decision driven by a combination of commercial insight, a comprehensive review of the logistics required, an analysis of the potential impact upon our football operations and, importantly, fan feedback sourced as part of our recent stadium migration survey.”

Everton stated that they will organize a series of events throughout the 2024-25 season to commemorate their departure from Goodison Park, their home since 1892.
