Football star, Adam Johnson, was in the early hours of Friday released from jail after serving half of his six-year sentence, Punchng report.

Hurried out of HMP Moorland near Doncaster under the cover of darkness, the former England and Sunderland player has tasted freedom again following the development.

But things will not remain the same for Johnson as he will never be free of the conviction nor the requirement to sign the sex offenders register.

Also, he never be free to play football in England, a likelihood he accepted during a leaked video from his time inside.

“I’ve got more chance abroad,’ he told fellow inmates in a footage while still in prison.

Johnson, 31, and with his time served, will no doubt want to resume his playing career. He will believe he should be allowed to play and earn, especially given his warped sense of innocence.

Sportsmail has spoken to several English clubs this week and each has sought to distance themselves from such a move.

The chances of playing abroad are also remote given that he would be denied a visa by countries such as China and the United States.
