Ex-Super Eagles player wants to coach national team

Former Nigeria international, John Chukwudi Utaka, has expressed his desire to coach Nigeria’s Super Eagles in the near future.

Utaka played for thirteen different clubs throughout the course of his professional football career, which spanned three continents.

The 41-year-old stopped playing professional football at the conclusion of the 2017–2018 season.

The former Portsmouth attacker is currently into coaching after he earned his UEFA A licence in 2022, and he is now working towards earning his UEFA Pro badge.

“If the opportunity comes to coach Nigeria in the near future, that is something I would love to embrace as well because that is another way to give back and show your experience with your own country as well,” Utaka told Soccernet.
