Ministry of Youth and Sports Development has postponed the Extra Ordinary Council meeting scheduled for March 21, 2020 in Benin City.
In a statement made available on Friday, the ministry announced to all sports stakeholders and administrator that the meeting intended to take place on Saturday (today) would not hold with no reason given for the postponement.
The statement reads, “As a follow-up to the earlier postponement of the National Sports Festival, there was to be an Extra Ordinary Council Meeting of all Sports Stakeholders in Benin City tomorrow the March 21, 2020.
“Due to unforeseen circumstances, The ministry hereby regrettably announces the postponement of the council meeting to another date.
“All invited sports stakeholders and sports administrators are hereby notified of this postponement. The ministry deeply regrets all inconvenience this shift in date has caused.
“Please accept the ministry’s sincere apology while also thanking you for all your very useful and supportive efforts in the growth of sports in Nigeria.”
