Flying Eagles leave Nigeria to Togo for WAFU B U20

  • The Flying Eagles of Nigeria departed for Lomé, the capital of Togo, on Tuesday to participate in the WAFU-B U20 tournament.

    Under the guidance of Coach Aliyu Zubair, Technical Adviser of Elkanemi Warriors, the team left Muritala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos around 10:25 am.

    Prior to their departure, the team completed their final preparations at the Remo Stars training complex in Ikenne.

    The traveling party consists of a 20-man squad, coaching staff, and additional support personnel, along with officials from the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).

    As the defending champions of the tournament, the Flying Eagles have been placed in Group B alongside Côte d’Ivoire and Burkina Faso.

    Nigeria will kick off their campaign against Burkina Faso on Friday, October 18, at the Municipal Stadium in Lomé, with the match scheduled to start at 3 pm local time.
