Mike Onyemachara, a member of the Flying Eagles team who won silver in Saudi Arabia in 1989, reportedly passed away on May 4, 2023.
According to reports, he was said to be in good health when his wife and children went for work and school, but when they returned, they discovered that the meal that had been placed at the table for him had not been touched, and that he had passed away.
Although the details of his passing are still murky as of publication, there are rumours that the talented footballer passed away in his Ajegunle, Nigeria, three-bedroom flat.
Nevertheless, a few of his teamates who were close to him claimed that he had recently complained of back problems.
A talented defender, Onyemachara spent the majority of his club football career with First Bank of Lagos and had a significant impact on the Saudi 89 Flying Eagles team.
