France, Iceland, and Denmark have all secured their places at the 2025 European Championship.

The trio join Germany, world champions Spain, and hosts Switzerland at the tournament next summer.

England can join them if they avoid defeat against Sweden in their final Euro 2025 qualifier on Tuesday.

The reigning champions defeated the Republic of Ireland 2-1 on Friday, while France beat Sweden by the same scoreline in Dijon.

Herve Renard’s side took the lead in Dijon just after the half-hour mark when Sakina Karchaoui scored with a stunning top-corner drive from over 30 yards out.

Josefine Rybrink equalized for Sweden four minutes into the second half, but Marie-Antoinette Katoto secured a 74th-minute winner by capitalizing on a loose ball from a corner.

This result guaranteed France a top-two finish in Group A3 and one of the eight automatic qualification spots.

Iceland, meanwhile, earned their spot in the Euros next summer with an impressive 3-0 victory over already-qualified Germany, thanks to goals from Ingibjorg Sigurdardottir, Alexandra Johannsdottir, and Sveindis Jonsdottir.

This ensures Iceland finishes at least second in Group A4, marking a strong comeback after missing out on the 2023 Women’s World Cup.

Denmark secured an impressive 3-0 victory away to Belgium, ensuring their progression from Group A2 alongside Spain.

A Janice Cayman own goal after an hour was followed by goals from Pernille Harder and Sara Holmgaard.

Meanwhile, Group A1 remains wide open, with all four teams still able to qualify automatically. Only three points separate the teams, with the Netherlands leading on eight points, followed by Norway and Italy with six each, and Finland with five.

Finland kept their hopes alive with Emma Koivisto’s 98th-minute equalizer to draw 1-1 with Norway, while Italy held the Dutch to a 0-0 draw in Sittard.

The top two finishers in each League A group qualify automatically, while the bottom two enter the play-offs against teams from Leagues B and C.
