FRENCH LIGUE: Mbappe goal helps PSG beat Nantes

Kylian Mbappe entered the game as a substitute and successfully converted a penalty, contributing to Paris St-Germain’s march towards the Ligue 1 title with a win against Nantes.

This came a day after the French striker informed the club of his intention to depart at the end of the season.

The opener came from Lucas Hernandez in the second half with a deflected shot. Mbappe later earned and scored a penalty, securing the victory and extending PSG’s lead at the top to 14 points.

The contract of the ex-Monaco forward with PSG is set to conclude in the summer, and there have been strong rumors connecting him with a transfer to Real Madrid.

Additionally, he found the net in the Champions League midweek, contributing to PSG’s victory over Real Sociedad in the first leg of the last-16 match.

This goal marked his fourth in Europe’s premier competition this season, adding to his tally of 21 goals in the domestic league campaign.

With a total of 244 goals and 93 assists in 290 appearances for PSG, he has played a pivotal role in securing five Ligue 1 titles for the club.
